Outcome

  • one or more complete task-based lesson plans with classroom materials and instructions that are based on reading and / or listening texts and / or written language output, together with a commentary explaining the rationale behind each lesson stage and activity. These can be presented as evidence that you have fulfilled learning objectives 4), 5), 6) and 8).

Details of how to do this are given in 4.5.10. This activity cycle touches upon issues in the DELPHI modules on Understanding and developing reading in a foreign language, Working with written texts in the language classroom and Developing foreign language writing skills. We will not go into detail here on general issues of reading, listening and writing, but will focus mainly on how activities involving these skills can form the basis of tasks within a task-based lesson framework.
